Competition in the environment of communications industry has become severe in the light of media deregulation and technological innovation.

As information overflows in the information age, skills for managing interpersonal and organizational communication also becomes crucial and challenging.
Against that background the study of communications management develops its significance. In adapting to the new trend, the Institute of Communications Management ( hereafter this institute ) was inaugurated in September 1997 running an MBA course. Staffed by four full-time teachers with 15 students studying in the first year, this institute incubates promising managers in the field of communications industry.
